I am Connie Bartlett, to some Lulu, the creator, and editor of Bless Your High Heels, a faith based blog focused on leading women to live a more inspirational purposeful life. Bless Your High Heels was created to serve as a creative outlet for me to provide inspiration to those who are lost in the mundane of everyday life like I was for many years. I wanted to tell you a little more about myself and give you some background on how this site got started.
I am a born and raised Sweet Georgia Peach who really does loves sweet tea and Jesus! I have a twin sister, a brother, a half-sister, and an adopted sister. I am a proud aunt to 5 nephews and 1 sweet little niece. I am a mother of six children, yes, you read that correctly six. I met my soulmate in 2007, he had three children, and I had three children, so we married like the Brady’s and we have a big beautiful blended family. We purchased our dream in North Georgia and this is where we raise our tribe. My Rock, that’s his name, is a project manager for a local company and I have been a marketer in corporate America for many years.
In May 2017 God closed the door to my corporate career because I needed redirection. I needed to quit chasing my career and focus on the woman God created me to be. I had become so consumed in living every day that I lost “ME”. I lost time with my husband, children, time with my family, and I lost my connection with God. I had become a shell of a woman walking around with a fake smile on my face. Playing nicely in the adult size sandbox of life where most of the people around me were rudely throwing sand in my face. I was seeking God in everything I did but getting nowhere.
After a few weeks of soul searching and submerging myself in God’s word I had coffee with a sweet friend. She shared how blogging had provided her with opportunities and how much she loved it. After hearing her story I decided that this may be the exact thing I was supposed to do. I felt like I needed to be heard, to be inspired, to help those who need to hear that they are loved, to show people that no matter how many times life knocks you down you learn a lesson, you get up, and you kick butt. I needed people to understand that life is a gift that is given to us by God, we often take that for granted and we don’t take the time to appreciate and live the lives we were blessed with.
Bless Your High Heels, is where I can share all of this and more with people all over the world. Bless Your High Heels, is the place you get to see me take back control of my life! I’m sharing my journey with you, the ones I love, and the ones I have lost. My hope is to touch the lives of others while offering love, inspiration, some fun fashion tips, and my favorite foods and recipes. Bless Your High Heels is a place to share the best experiences and adventures from my life, travels, and everyday experiences.
I am so thankful that you stopped by… I sure hope you stay a while, look around, get to know me, share your thoughts, & don’t forget to come back!
