Let Go Let God
Let Go Let God is what I kept hearing as I struggled this morning! I am fighting a battle over my mind. The battle I often fight when I am unsure. The enemy often attacks two areas of uncertainty in my mind. The enemy tries to make me unsure about my ministry and my mission. He makes me unsure about my finances and monthly obligations.
I am often consumed with thoughts about the name of my blog. I am filled discontentment in the name. I have wasted countless hours on searching for a new name that I feel would honor my ministry better. I have even gone as far as purchasing a new name and going through the process of changing my current name. The decision to do this caused a massive drop in views to my website. There were less people hearing about the Love of Jesus. I have decided not to change the name and I must now rebuild the foundation I broke. In searching for peace and direction God led me to this passage.
It is I Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, and he will do all that I want him to do,’ even saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be built,’ and of the house of God, ‘Your first stones will be laid again.’” Isaiah 44:28 NLV
I have the foundation for the purpose God has called me for. The name does not matter when I have a solid foundation in Christ! I decided to take this verse further and personalize it as a reminder to read daily.
The Lord said “Connie is my Shepard, and she will do all that I want her to do. She is built, and of the house of God, her first stone will be laid again her foundation”.
What peace I find in this! God is always there to repair my broken pieces even when I am the one that broke what he created as a foundation for His calling.
I have monthly bills that have not been paid. My pantry and fridge are almost bare and this places a sense of concern in my mind. The enemy often attacks me in this area and today is no exception. So, I turned to prayer and scripture in an effort to “Let Go & Let God”. I was immediately led to Romans 8:28.
We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan. Romans 8:28 NLV
God provides always. I have seen this over and over again throughout my life. The Lord has never left me, he has always provided for my families basic needs and more. He continues to meet my financial needs every month over the past year. He blesses me with exactly what I need and all I need to do is remain faithful and most importantly thankful. The enemy clouds our minds with worry so we we will not cry out to the Lord in prayer. My prayer today is a prayer to fight the enemy and his whispers.
Pray with me:
Lord, I come to you this morning so thankful for your guidance. Thankful for your blessings and thankful for your unconditional love. Quiet the enemy whispers in our minds, fill them with the peace you bring to those who believe and stay confident and faithful in prayer. Lord, use me to be a blessing to someone in need of you.
In your great and awesome name!
